Job Summary: The HIV
Services Coordinatoir will be a member of the Sub-Region-based technical team
and will specifically be responsible for coordinating planning, implementation
and monitoring of comprehensive HIV health services at sub-regional level It is
a full-time position based in Gulu for a five-year term, with frequent travel
to districts through the Northern Region of Uganda.

Key Duties &
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Participate in designing, implementation
and monitoring of comprehensive HIV/ AIDS services so as to contribute to
achievement of project targets. - Provides technical support to the district
health teams and CSO partners during annual work-plan development,
especially in regard to TB and HIV prevention, care, treatment. - Represent NU-HITES project in the TB and
HIV technical working groups in the project supported districts. - Contributes to NU-HITES periodic reports
by coordinating and consolidating district reports on TB and HIV
prevention, care, treatment service programs according to defined
reporting schedules.
Qualifications, Skills &
Experience:
Experience:
- A Medical Doctor. A MPH or Masters degree
in other clinical disciplines is added advantage. - Additional training in TB/HIV prevention,
care and treatment - At least 5 years of professional
experience working in HIV/AIDS prevention, care & treatment programs
in public and/or private sector. - Practical experience in working with
district and community health systems including Village Health Teams (VHT)
and HIV/AIDS peer support networks. - Experience in HIV capacity building for
health facility and community health delivery teams. - Willingness to work m Northern Uganda and
travel 60% of the time in field. - Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
programs including MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point.
