About EOC:
The Equal Opportunities Commission, established in 2007 by the Equal Opportunities Act is mandated to provide a framework for redressing imbalances which exist against the marginalized groups while promoting equality and fairness.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Coordination of mediation and arbitration proceedings.
  • Organizing and formulating strategies for investigations.
  • Drafting legal documents for the Commission.
  • Give legal advice to Commission.
  • Preparing and prosecuting breaches against equal opportunities’ policies, laws and practices.
  • Defending Commission in courts of law.
  • Supervise and lead subordinate staff.
  • Compiling and submitting reports on time.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
 Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • An Honors Bachelors Degree in Law or University degree with Diploma in Legal practice from Law Development Centre (LDC).
  • Postgraduate qualification in human rights field will be an added advantage.
  • Nine (9) year government working experience, Three (3) of which at a Principal Level in a reputable institution.
  • Be an enrolled advocate in High Court.
Personal Competencies: Investigation Management, Legal Acuity, Equal Opportunities Analysis and Communication Skills.
