international NGO founded in 1993 and headquartered in Paris. France. The
organization’s vocation is to save lives, assist vulnerable populations and
bring hope to those in need for a better future. ACTED is active in 20
countries in Europe, Africa. Asia, the Middle East and Central America and
develops about 150 projects yearly in diversified activities such as emergency
relief, food security, health promotion, economic development, education,
microfinance, institutional support and regional dialogue as well as cultural
promotion. For its programs in Northern Uganda, Karamoja and Kampala, ACTED is
looking for professionally confident, self-motivated, experienced and committed
team players to fill the position above.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain
    ACTED’s inventory and control all assets and movements of assets:
  • Maintain
    records in accordance with ACTED policies and procedures and audit
    guidelines;
  • Monitor
    the use of ACTED vehicles and motorbikes, maintenance, repairs and fuel
    consumption;
  • Ensure
    that security SOPs are well respected for the safety and security of all
    the premises, vehicles, trips and etc. including supervision of the ZON
    Fleet Management.
  • Follow-up
    supplies with suppliers and area logistic departments;
 Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
  • University
    degree in Logistics and Procurement or any other related field;
  • Professional
    qualification in Logistics is an added advantage;
  • At
    least 3 years progressively responsible experience in Logistics and
    Procurement;
  • Ability
    to coordinate all logistics activities and manage all staff in Logistics
    department in the absence of the manager,
  • Highly
    motivated;
  • Ability
    to travel and work under pressure.
