About WRAug:
White Ribbon Alliance Uganda is a grassroots organization working with others to reduce infant and mortality in Uganda. Our objective is to contribute in achieving MDGs 4 and 5. Our programs support various key stakeholders in achieving these goals.
Job Summary: The Project Officer will be responsible for the daily implementation of project activities and managing of the SLAB project in the four target districts (Kanungu, Rukungiri, Kisoro and Kabale).
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
·    Ensure the successful development , implementation and management  of all project work plans.
·    Support the National Coordinator  with project strategy development    and implementation.
·    Manage  activity  planning and implementation, and monitoring  and evaluation, including  supporting  logistics for all meetings such as  advocacy  workshops, core group meetings .
·         Gather and maintain records of all key project results as part of evidence based management.
·         Document all project activities and derive reports on activities implemented.
·         Support the process of preparation of financial reports for WRAUG to be submitted to AMREF.
·         Maintain all project activity files and financial records.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·    Minimum of Diploma  in development  studies , business administration , public/community  health  or social worker , SWASA, Social  Sciences  or other  related field required.
·    Minimum of 3 years experience in project management in the fields of Maternal or Public Health in Uganda.
·    Prior experience in developing and implementing at least one of the following; monitoring & evaluation plans, communications plans, advocacy campaign strategies.
·    Thorough understanding of maternal mortality and morbidity and how to address the causes.
·    Proven  track record  of successfully planning and managing  grant-funded  projects , which are  on budget , on time  and  without  any notices  of noncompliance from donors
·    Demonstrated project  management  and organizational skills , including experience   developing  and implementing at least   shared  project  work plans.
·    In-depth understanding of other similar organisations’ past and current work in the area of maternal health.
·       Age: Not more than 55 years .
