Job Title: Project Manager
About WRAug:
White Ribbon Alliance Uganda is a grassroots organization working with others to reduce infant and mortality in Uganda. Our objective is to contribute in achieving MDGs 4 and 5. Our programs support various key stakeholders in achieving these goals.
Job Summary: The Job Holder will be responsible overall administration and management of the project’s implementation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead and ensure the successful development, implementation and management of all project work plans.
  • Support the National Coordinator with project strategy development and implementation.
  • Manage activity planning and implementation, and monitoring and evaluation, including supporting logistics for all meetings, such as advocacy workshops, core group meetings and board of Directors meetings.
  • Gather and maintain records of all key project results as part of evidence based management.
  • Document all project activities and derive reports on activities implemented.
  • Support the process of preparation of financial reports for WRAUG to be submitted to Board of Directors and Donors.
  • Maintain all project activity files and financial records. 
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of Bachelors degree in International studies, development studies, business administration , public/community health or social worker, medical doctor, nursing/midwifery, SWASA, Social Sciences or other related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project management in the fields of Maternal or Public Health in Uganda.
  • Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and implemented grant-funded projects constrained by budget and time, and with no notices of non-compliance from donors.
  • Demonstrated superior project management and organization skills, including developing and implementing shared work plans.
  • Prior experience in developing and implementing at least one of the following; monitoring & evaluation plans, communications plans, advocacy campaign strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of maternal mortality and morbidity and how to address the causes.
  • Understanding of Uganda’s health sector and policy framework.
  • Inspiration to contribute and Impact on Women’s lives and more so their families.
  • Age : Not less than 55 years
