About UIPE:
The Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) is the Institution that brings together all Professional Engineers in Uganda. It was constituted to promote the general advancement of the science and practice of engineering in Uganda.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
· Planning the activities and/projects of the institution;
· Supervising all persons employed by the institution;
· Implementing decisions of Council;
· Monitoring the progress of all activities of the institution;
· Coordinate the day –to- day activities of the institution;
· Initiate Projects for Council Approval;
· Attend and take minutes of Council meetings
· Attend meetings of Council committees;
· Conduct the ordinary business of the institution in accordance with the Constitution and Rules; and the directions of the Council and shall refer to the President or any Vice President available, any matters of importance or difficulty requiring urgent decisions;
· Any other activities that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Management Course;
· At least 4 years of relevant management experience;
· Master’s degree in any Engineering or Management course is an added advantage;
· Membership of a Professional Institution is an added advantage.
