About Project:
Pader Improved Education phase 2 is a follow up of Phase I of Pader Improved Health and Education project which ended in September 2012. The project will contribute to the community development priorities as detailed in the District Development Plan (DDP 2011 – 2016), specifically focusing on Education sector, primarily with the goal to Improve the quality of education for boys and girls in 10 Primary schools by 2015.
Job Purpose: To oversee the implementation of project in order to achieve quality education for boys and girls in 10 targeted Primary schools by 2015 and ensure maximum Integration of synergies as the project is implemented.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1.      Project management and coordination
·         Provide overall leadership, management and guidance to the development of project designs.
·         Guide and provide technical support to staff.
·         Manage and coordinate project activity Implementation.
·         Ensure timely implementation of project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plans of the project.
·         Provide leadership to the project team for effective and efficient delivery of targets and outputs
2.     Project monitoring and evaluation
·         Support the implementation of the mid-term review of the project
·         Facilitate effective monitoring, documentation and reporting incompliance with agreed standards
·         Support the carrying out of the project baseline on the conclusion of the project
·         Monitor the progress of project activities contracted out to ensure quality and adherence and compliance to key standards as per the contract terms
3.     Finance management and quality assurance
·         Manage project finances and asset in line with World Vision policy
4.     Budget management and control
·         Ensure value for money, for contracts awarded in the course of this project.
·         Performance management and supervision
·         Manage, supervise and build capacity of staff in project development, management and implementation.
·         Support staff to achieve project goal of improved education for boys and girls in the target schools.
5. Network and collaboration
·         Identify and build strategic linkages, relations, collaborations and networks with partners and other stakeholders in planning and implementation.
·         Work very closely with the district education department to deliver the and achieve the outputs of this project
·         Provide leadership in creating a forum for discussion and interventions in the education sector in the district.
5.     Documentation and reporting
·         Timely submission of end of month reports, quarterly, biannual and Annual reports.
·         Monthly cost tracking tool (report) on financial transactions
·         Document vital lessons learnt in the course of the project implementation.
·         Document and share substantive success stories scored as a result of this project
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         Degree in Education, Social Work & Social Administration, Economics, Development, Resource Management or related field 3 years or more experience of relief and development work
·         Experience in successfully managing multi disciplinary teams under difficult children Self motivated with excellent time management skills.
·         Has experience in working with communities with good knowledge of Education System and structures
·         A mature and committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
