Job Summary: We require a Finance Officer to Join the Finance Family. Working closely with the Programme Accountant, Donor Accountant and the Country Finance & Systems Manager you will deliver on the operational management of finances and grants to Partners for programmes based in Kampala. This role entails having a clear understanding on aspects around handling a wide- range of detailed internal and external finance information on processing invoices, Payroll management, floats and advances, liquidity management, and supporting and training Partners. At the end of each reporting period and collaborating all information into final Month end closure reports. The role of the Finance Officer roles is a part of the building blocks to delivery on the Country Finance Strategy.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         The person we are looking for will have a graduate degree in Accounting or/and Finance or equivalent professional qualification in the relevant field preferably ACCA or CPA, at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role;
·         Working with an International NGO with a multi-donor portfolio, proven experience in dealing with finance at a Country level; ability to work effectively with others is essential as well as effective verbal and written communication skills.
·         You will have excellent computer skills for Word processing and Spreadsheets.
