USAID Project Jobs – Quality Improvement Officer – HIV

About USAID Project:
The USAID Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST) Project is a new five-year cooperative agreement awarded to University Research Co., LLC and is dedicated to improving health, population and nutrition services through technical support to service delivery institutions, country, Ministries of Health, USAID country missions, and cooperating agencies. The new project carries on the work of the USAID Health Care Improvement Project in global advocacy, development, and promotion of cost-effective methods to design and improve health care services and systems in low- and middle-income countries. USAID ASSIST will align evidence-based interventions in technical content areas such as maternal, newborn and child health, HIV/AIDS, OVC and health workforce – with evidence-based approaches to strengthen and improve systems.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop timely work plans and budgets for activities to support USAID partners to use quality improvement methodologies to improve HIV care
  • Efficiently coordinate the implementation of activities to support USAID partners to improve care for people with HIV
  • Manage a quality improvement collaborative of 10 – 15 sites to improve care for people with HIV, including conducting peer learning sessions and site coaching.
  • Regular report writing including progress reports, and success stories
  • Support site and district quality improvement teams conduct monthly data collection, analysis, use and reporting
  • Develop and update materials for trainings, learning sessions and coaching visits
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • Degree in Medical field
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ HIV/TB clinical experience
  • Public health experience and familiarity with quality improvement methodologies is desired
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills and experience working with other implementing partners
  • Good analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel and spend over 50% of their time in the field
  • Familiarity with USAID regulations is desired.
