Type and Duration of Contract: Fixed Term Appointment (One year with possible extension)
Job Purpose:
·         Under the general supervision of the Head of Moroto Zonal Office, the incumbent will perform office administrative support functions to the Head of the Zonal Office and to programme colleagues including:
·         Maintaining all files and updated records in the Office and ensuring efficient and confidential keeping of all documents and producing monthly reports as required;
·         Advising and assisting other staff in the area of office management and participating in meetings on day-to-day administrative or programme matters;
·         Providing general administrative support to the Head of Office and coordinating the schedule, travel arrangements for visiting delegations;
·         Supporting and advising the Head of Zonal Office and programme officers in managing contacts with local government and programme partners, and arranging for the circulation of correspondence both within and outside the office;
·         Arranging for document reproduction and receiving visitors and telephone calls for the office;
·         Assisting the Head of Office in the Office finance, accounts and supply functions as necessary.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·         Completion of secondary education. Training in administrative field is desirable.
·         At least four years of progressively responsible clerical and administrative work.
·         Excellent computer skills with an accent on financial accounting programmes.
·         Very good knowledge of the local language. One or two working languages of the organization is an asset.
·         Good writing and communication skills
