Location: Kampala
The position is in Kampala but requires regular trips to site. Preferance will be given to candidates with oil and gas experience, however, trainee positions are also being considered.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
· The candidate will be required to represent the Geosciences team on site and ensure adherence to technical and HSE rules.
· Validate the quality of well data acquisition as well as ensure efficient reporting.
· Evaluate formations while drilling with the use of cuttings and wire-line data.
· Participate in health Safety and Environment activities at the rigsite.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· University degree in Geology or equivalent.
· Working knowledge of surface and subsurface geology in oil and gas domain.
· Basic knowledge of petroleum geology fundamentals.
· Knowledge in Geosciences specialized software a plus (ARCGIS, Petrel).
