Program Background:
The Justice for Children Project 2011-2013 is an innovative “proof of concept” project initiated by the Justice, Law and Order Sector (JLOS) to improve system outcomes for children at risk of or affected by violence. J4C supports the development of justice service delivery systems to respond to the needs of children in a timely, effective and child- friendly manner. Funded by UNICEF and implemented by the Centre for Justice Studies and Innovations (CJSI), J4C pilots are located in the JLOS districts of Mbale/Bududa, Nakawa/Entebbe, Fort Portal/Kyenjojo, Gulu, Amuru/Nwoya, Kitgum/Lamwo, Pader/Agago, Soroti and the Karamoja districts of Kotido and Moroto.

Job Summary: The District Based J4C Coordinator provides technical support to two District Coordination Committees, facilitates and builds DCC capacity to identify children’s needs, prioritize interventions, develop annual action plans, coordinate and monitor implementation.
Qualifications, Skills& Experience:
·         A J4C Coordinator will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in law, human rights and/or child protection
·         3+years experience in child protection at middle management level capacity development, Sound organizational planning and advocacy experience,
·         Fluency in communication am demonstrable computer skills.

Terms of Employment: The positions will be tenable initially for the period of two years, and subject to an annual performance review. An attractive salary package commensurate with qualification and experience will be offered to the selected candidates
