Job Summary: The position holder will be responsible for coordinating the various aspects of the information systems of Mildmay Uganda, and ensuring that the necessary information support is provided to Mildmay management and staff for effective service delivery.
Successful applicant will also ensure the provision of Information systems technical support to all programmes undertaken by Mildmay Uganda.
About Mildmay:
Mildmay Uganda is an HIV/AIDS treatment and training centre also providing Health Systems Strengthening to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in 16 districts of Central Uganda. Situated on Entebbe Road, Lweza, south of Kampala, Mildmay Uganda is seeking applications from experienced and motivated people interested in a rewarding career undertaking the challenging roles.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Computer Science plus Masters Degree in Information Technology;
· Information Systems; Computer Science or Data Communications. 5 years’ experience in Information Systems Management, with at least 2 years of supervising staff.
· Experience in designing and implementing Information Systems in a Health Setting is desirable.
· Successful applicant will have demonstrable knowledge and understanding of contemporary Information technologies, visual programming languages, networking, and database administration
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in various MS office packages and working knowledge of English and local language(s) are crucial.
· Hard working, trust-worthy, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
· Must be flexible, reliable, able to work under pressure; and in sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay Uganda.
· Evidence of a non-judgemental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical.
