Job Title: Mobile Van Driver
Reports to: Mobile Van Supervisor
Centenary Bank, the leading Commercial Microfinance Bank in Uganda seeks to recruit suitably qualified, experienced and competent persons in the following fields;
Job Summary: To transport staff and deliver bank items and maintain the motor vehicle in line with the administrative guidelines and drivers manual.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
· Drive bank vehicles, transport duly assigned bank staff, in line with the drivers’ manual, the bank policy, road safety regulations
· Carry out daily maintenance checks, promptly follow up key issues and generate precise adhoc motor vehicle situation reports in line with maintenance best practice and driving standards.
· Secure and deliver assigned bank assets, mail and correspondence in line with the relevant bank policies, procedures and standing instructions.
· Maintain up-to-date record of vehicle movement logbook, insurance, license and parking stickers and observe bank vehicle handling guidelines in line with Bank policies, procedures and best practice standards.
· Monitor, and follow up vehicle maintenance schedule, verify works/repairs and prepare precise monthly motor vehicle situation reports in line with reporting guidelines, departmental work plan and best practice.
· Take responsibility for utilization and accountability of allocated fuels oils/lubricants in line with asset maintenance, Bank policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· At least 3 years hands – on experience and skill in driving heavy vehicles.
· Valid Driver permit (Class CH)
· Good knowledge in driving highly computerized vehicles
· Readiness to travel within Uganda and willingness to take up assignments upcountry (Northern Uganda).
· Customer service orientation
· High level of integrity.
· Excellent people skills
