Organisation: The Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Uganda (Baylor -Uganda)
Location: (1 Position for West Nile, 1 Position for Eastern and 1 Position for Rwenzori)
Job Summary: To monitor and maintain computer systems (network, software and/or hardware) and provide IT user support in the attached region in line with IT standards and Baylor Uganda’s strategic objectives.
About Baylor Uganda: The Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Uganda (Baylor -Uganda) Headquartered at Mulago Hospital, is a comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and treatment organization that supports the treatment and care of HIV infected and affected Children and Adults.
Baylor-Uganda has four operational areas; HIV/AIDS care, treatment and prevention services, maternal child health services. Health Professional training and Clinical Research.
Baylor-Uganda is in receipt of PEPFAR grant through CDC, and is looking for knowledgeable, enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to become part of its team in Eastern, West Nile and Rwenzori region.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
The job holder should have:
·         A degree in Computer Science or IT or Business Computing, and professional qualifications in CCNA, Microsoft MCSE 2000, MCP, MCSA, MCDBA, CWNA, and CCIP and other relevant qualifications with 3 years experience in IT
·         At least two years of IT experience in a busy setting.
·         Have Key personal competences in Team and communication skills, networking and partnership skills.
·         Must be dynamic, Persuasive &convincing, self-motivated and able to demonstrate high initiative.
·         She/he must have skills in system installation & management; Network design, management and security; Network Monitoring; Support and service Delivery; and in documentation & information management
