Job Summary: Maintaining and implementing all IT related security Policies and Procedures. Ensure that appropriate technologies are implemented to protect Umeme systems from unauthorized access.

Job Purpose: The Security Administrator will ensure that all Umeme systems are secure and protected from unauthorized access. Further, this person will actively monitor systems and infrastructure to ensure that they are properly protected.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
·         Review and maintain Umeme systems security Policies and Procedures
·         Define additional policies where necessary – for example, when giving sample or test data to third parties
·         Install, configure, and maintain firewalls and related security devices
·         Maintain logs of user access creation, modification and deletion
·         Work with HR to define an implement procedures to manage new employees access to systems, and employee departures
·         Enforce security procedures across all systems
·         Work with Infrastructure team to ensure that the infrastructure is secure – for example, disable unauthorized connection of laptops
·         Plan and support network and computing security infrastructure.
·         Prepare good audit and reporting systems to capture and report on suspect or otherwise activity.
·         Provide documentation, schematics, policy and procedure documents
Other tasks as required.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         Degree in IT, Computer Science or any other relevant discipline
Post graduate qualification in MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CNE desired.
·         5 years Experience in a similar role
