Job Title: Logistics & Administration Officer –based in Karamoja

Duties & Responsibilities:
·         You will provide Logistics support to a team of Logistics Assistant and Drivers as well as the wider Program team; while contributing to the implementation of Oxfam’s Karamoja Program, which seeks to contribute to a reduction in the marginalization and the promo­tion of long-term sustainable development for the population of Karamoja; through allocation and effective use of resource in procurement, People Management and Reporting.
·         You will be responsible for the successful achievement of all operational and directional support of the Logistics team for efficient sup­port to result oriented programme, through effective planning, monitoring and management of operations, people and Logisti­cal resources.
·         Manage team of Logistic Assistant, and Drivers in Kotido Office while maintaining effective internal and exter­nal relationships with the Business Support Manager, Program Staff, Partners, Suppliers and Statutory institutions appropriately.
·         You will be security focal person and provide technical logistics systems support.
·         You will bring your technical experience in Lo­gistics in limited market coverage while exhibiting professional, dynamic and efficient contribution to the Programme Logistics.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         You should have a minimum first degree in Procurement and Lo­gistics Management or Business Administration, and preferably both partial professional qualification in Logistics Certification or equivalent substantial experience (minimum of 4 years) in a similar role.
·         Understanding of Logistic and contractual procedures, systems, and policies; you should have a demonstrated ability to working with other teams providing effective support cross functional resource availability and reporting for monthly and periodic according within the organization and donor requirements.
·         Ability to work under minimum supervision, excellent coaching skills to support Logistics Assistant and other non-Logistics team with a solution focused ability and capacity oriented way.
·         Good writing skills in English and experience of successful donor procurement management and collaboration are essential.
·         You should have proven experience of working with and ability to support partner organisations and of effectively managing and supporting them to deliver against wider project objectives and build their capacity.
·         Experience in security management and reporting in an insecure setting desirable, ability to learn and facilitate
·         Organiza­tional Experience and knowledge of relevant Logistical systems, IT – Systems, preferably MS Office programmes, Helios Logistics pro­gramme / ability to learn;
·         Excellent social skills and you are a team player.
·         You will be adaptable and flexible, able to demon­strate cultural and gender sensitivity, well organised with capac­ity to achieve results, and ability to build capacity willingness to live and work in a remote, insecure environment are needed.
