USAID Project Degree Jobs – Logistics and Administration Officer at IntraHealth

Organisational Background:
The goal of USAID Uganda’s five-year (2012-2017) Northern Uganda – Health Integration to Enhance Services (NU-HITES) project led by Plan International is to increase the availability and demand for essential health services in 15 project districts while strengthening and improving the overall quality of Northern Uganda’s health system. IntraHealth is a subcontractor to Plan International on the NU-HITES project providing technical assistance in Systems Strengthening and Quality and Performance Improvement. This position will be located at the NU-HITES project office in Gulu.
Duties & Responsibilities
·         Will coordinate all logistics for project staff regarding local travel and transportation, implementation of activities, and the fielding of consultants and short term technical assistance.
·         This position will be responsible for ensuring that all procurement and logistics activities of targeted IntraHealth technical work follow USAID, project and IntraHealth regulations.
·         S/he will develop standard templates and reporting formats, and manage the process of issuing solicitations or tenders using appropriate instruments in contracting and purchasing of goods following regulations in collaboration with Plan and IntraHealth’s current Uganda Capacity Program.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         A University Degree in Business Administration
·         Two years of office administrative experience
·         Ability to maintain a variety of records, such as inventories of supplies and materials; prepare correspondence, forms and reports;
·         Ability to provide excellent administrative and customer service duties, including telephone coverage, ordering office supplies, maintaining office equipment;
·         Excellent public relations skills including courteousness, tact and good verbal communications
·         Proven ability to work independently and self-motivated; also work cooperatively with other office personnel
·         Strong organizational and time management skills
·         Ability to simultaneously support a team of professionals
·         Computer literacy in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point; Outlook
