Programs Controller
Reports to: Head of Programing
Job Purpose: To plan and co-ordinate a programming strategy for KFM Radio Station so as to achieve high audience ratings to maximize profit from advertising revenue.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities include:-
  • Creates programme clocks and inserts all elements of programming every hour of the day
  • Executes programming strategy to achieve planned audience targets in terms of gender distribution, age and social class
  • Supervises and meets presenters to plan for the day’s programmes
  • Schedules and distributes play lists to presenters and briefs them on any promotions to run on air
  • Liaises with the Sales Manager to come up with sales promotions and supervises their successful execution
  • Co-ordinates with the Marketing department to develop a winning radio brands Is responsible for the general administration of the station
  • Analyses research data from internal and external sources to improve programming ratings
  • Plan and implement information driven programs like sports and talk shows.
Academic Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor of degree from an accredited University
  • Diploma in Mass Communication
  • At least 3-5 years working experience with 2 years at middle management level
  • Experience in a media related industry will be required.
