Procurement and Logistics Career Opportunities at Uganda AIDS Commission – Procurement Assistant
Reports to: Procurement Manager
Salary Scale: UAC7

Purpose of the job: This role involves procurement of goods and services in accordance with the public disposal act and other applicable regulations.
Duties and responsibilities
- To respond to bidder and supplier inquiries on the status of the procurement process.
- To track the status of procurement requisitions, contracts, and orders and inform the relevant parties about the status.
- To distribute copies of tenders/ bid documents to service providers and suppliers.
- To review procurement requisitions for accuracy in the requirements and technical specifications.
- To prepare, maintain and review procurement files, reports and price lists.
- To compare suppliers bills with purchase orders so as to verify accuracy before sending them for payment.
- To communicate the outcome of the bidding process to the relevant parties.
- To liaise with Stores during the delivery of goods and services
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelors Degree in Procurement or Logistics Management or any other related field.
- Professional Qualification in CIPS would be an added advantage.
Experience
- A minimum of Three (3) years working experience in a similar role in a Public or reputable organization.
- Knowledge of the PPDA regulations and guidelines.
- Should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
