Our client, a key player in the energy industry in Africa and beyond wishes to recruit a Finance & Administration Manager for their Uganda Office.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Provides annual and interim statutory financial statements in contact with statutory auditors.
· Develops internal controls and procedures including for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral and securities, in order to ensure safekeeping.
· Monitors, interprets and improves cash flows management in contact with banks and sales managers.
· Conducts reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
· Produces accurate financial and analytic reports to specific deadlines.
· Elaborate the annual company budget and the three year plan preparation.
· Monitors credit to customers and debts recovering in contact with concerned Heads of other departments.
· Manages and supervises the Finance, Administration, HR and IT teams.
· Develops external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, bankers, dealers, URA and statutory organizations to ensure all statutory obligations are met.
· Arranges new sources of finance for the company’s debt facilities.
· Keeps abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
· Monitors company insurance, import / export administration, licensing, contracts and agreements, legal areas and activities and corporate level negotiations.
· Develops company’s human resources and administration, enhancing professional development, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, training and recruiting.
· Ensure that recruiting process are consistent and streamlined.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
· CPA (K) or ACCA Certification or equivalent Ugandan Certifications.
· Knowledge of IFRS Accounting rules.
· 7 years finance experience.
· 3 years experience of Oil & Gas industry (Downstream sector would be a plus).
· 3 years experience in a management position in a finance or audit department.
