Public Health Career Opportunities at Uganda AIDS Commission – Coordinator – Public Sector, Civil Society & Private Sector

Reports to: Head National Response.
Salary scale: UAC5.
Purpose of the Job: To coordinate and ensure participation of the Public Sector, Civil Society and Private Sector in the HIV/AIDS National response.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • To coordinate programmes on HIV/AIDS response by the three sectors i.e Public Sector, Civil Society and Private Sector
  • To facilitate communication between UAC and the Civil Society, Public and Private Sector
  • To provide technical support and guidance in capacity needs assessment within the Civil Society, Public and Private Sector
  • To coordinate participation by the Civil Society, Public and Private Sector sec­tors in policy development, strategic planning and budgeting for the national response
  • To prepare work plans, budgets and performance reports of the Civil Society, Public and Private Sector
  • To facilitate the designing and implementation of impact assessment tools and approaches of sector specific responses within the national response framework
  • To support identification, documentation and dissemination of best practices among the Civil Society, Public and Private Sector
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • An Honors Bachelor Degree Medicine and Surgery, Social Sciences or Humanities from a recognized institution.
  • Post graduate Diploma in Public Administration or Management / Development Studied from a recognized institution.
Experience
  • A minimum of Four (4) years’ experience in a management position in Government or a reputable organization.
