Purpose of the position; To oversee field level financial management and ensure adequate financial facilitation for all program activities .
Major Responsibilities
- Monitor project budgets , prepare cash flows, and monitor expenditure
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and providing financial guidelines to project staff .
- Provide financial guidance and training to both project finance and non finance staff
- Set up appropriate project internal controls and monitor them to achieve quality audit results.
Knowledge skills and Abilities
- A University education with a major in Accounting .
- Professional qualification in ACCA will be an added advantage .
- Must have proven knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Internal Control Procedures .
- Over 3 years experience in overseeing complex donor funded projects .
- Experience in managing US Government grants will be an added advantage
