Job Title: Chief Nursing Officer
Location: Kampala, Uganda

Nakasero Hospital Limited (NHL) is a recent established and high end Hospital in Kampala that opened its doors to outpatient treatment in March of 2009 and in-patient treatment, the same year.

The mission of the Hospital is to provide quality medical care to patients that can fill the gap which is created by lack of adequate medical facilities in the country.
We are looking to fill the position of Chief Nursing Officer, who will be able to provide leadership for the nursing and professional staff at Nakasero Hospital Limited.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ensure high consistent quality care delivery in a cost effect manner.
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Have the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Must have a flexible and well organized approach to work and an ability to meet deadlines
  • Must have attentiveness to detail
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Must be willing to be on call and work outside the normal working hours
  • Should be familiar with Hospital Total Quality Management (TQM), this is an added advantage.
  • Plan, organize and prioritize work
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Assign and supervise work of others.
  • Should be able to formulate and implement nursing policies
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in nursing, Masters in nursing management is an added advantage
  • With at least ten (10) years work experience in a managerial position/s
