Job Position: Driver
Pentecostal Assemblies of God-Uganda Social Development Services (PAG SDS) works in partnership with Emergency Relief and Development Overseas and the Canadian Food Grains Bank to address livelihood and socio-economic issues in the community. This partnership focuses on engaging the communities in Participatory Learning Processes to identify local and sustainable solutions to underlying causes of food insecurity. PAG SDS has designed a program for “Integrated Climate Change and Food Security Initiatives in Karamoja”. The community based learning will involve climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction and management (DRR and DRM). The Key Result Areas in this program will be increased food availability in target households and increased resilience to climate change disasters. PAG social development programs target beneficiaries irrespective of their political, religious or other affiliations. For more information, visit www.pag-uganda.org . Qualifications, Skills & Experience
·         Secondary level of education.
·         A vocational training in automotive service technology or relevant mechanical or technical trainings are an added advantage;
·         At least five (5) years of driving experience in light and heavy vehicles especially 4×4 vehicles.
·         Valid and clean driving permit for commercial and light vehicles is a requirement;
·         Mechanical aptitude and knowledge on how vehicles work and basic maintenance of the vehicle;
·         Knowledge of driving rules and regulations;
·         Excellent command of English and at least 2 local languages is vital;
·         Ability to travel intensively to program locations;
·         Practicing Christian with upright Christian values.
