Job Title: Commodity Manager
Report to: Programme Development Director
Duty station: Kotido
Location:  Uganda
Major Responsibilities
·         Provide strategic programming and system support for the food aid program including assistance with project design, proposal writing, budgeting and fundraising with WFP, US Department for Agriculture and support offices
·         Ensure proper food handling and accountability systems are in place including the maintenance of all required records and documentation and installation and operation of commodity Tracking System (CTS) and Last Mill Mobile Solution (LMMS) in every food aid project site.
·         Provide technical support to the food aid programme and ensure that implementation is according to world vision Uganda, food programming management group (FPMG), donors and other partners

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·         Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Economic Development, Social Science or in other related field.
·         Extensive exposure to food aid programs Management (minimum 5 years) preferably with international experience.
·         Adequate knowledge and experience in food aid programs and donors standards appropriate to the management of the food programs
·         Knowledge of the sphere standards, code of conduct for red cross/red crescent, Humanitarian Accountability Partnerships(HAPI) and international humanitarian standards
·         Extensive experience in supervising staff and conducting capacity building workshops
In depth working knowledge of computer software like Commodity Tracking System(CTS), Excel etc
·         Ability to effectively develop rapport and relate to donors, NGOs, counterparts, and government agencies
·         Must be willing to travel and flexible approach to living conditions
·         Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
