Manager Education & Wash Job Vacancy at ZOA Uganda

ZOA Uganda is an International Christian Non-Governmental Organisation for Humanitarian and Rehabilitation Assistance. Our mission is to assist in rebuilding the livelihoods of peoples in Acholi and Karamoja regions who are affected by warfare, conflict or natural disaster. We operate in 17 countries in Africa and Asia. Our programmes in Uganda concentrate on Food Security, Livelihoods/Economic Development, Education and WASH in close cooperation with counterpart structures.
For our Pader Programme, we wish to recruit for the following positions:
Duty station: Pader
Reports to: Programme Manager
Starting date: ASAP
Duties & Responsibilities:
·         Plans and implements activities and/or facilitates implementation of education & wash projects
·         Ensures M&E, Finances and project reporting in line with donor requirements
·         Motivates and stimulates and supervises staff working on allocated projects
·         Build and maintains good relationships with local authorities, other organizations and actors linking to the relevant sector.
·         Main project components Education: promotion of (girl) enrolment, strengthening SMC’s and PTA’s, and mainstreaming HIV.
·        We work with and through partners and build their capacity.
·         Main project components WASH: promotion of community led sanitation, forming and training WUC’s, promotion of ‘ideal homestead’ concept, drilling of borehole, construction of homestead and VIP latrines.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
·         Good management, planning, communication, writing and facilitation skills
·         Inventive, creative and enthusiastic person (able to develop the best approach)
·         Degree or Diploma in Education, WASH or other relevant field
·         At least 3 years successful experience in project management
·         Proven experience of working and building capacity of local partners,
·         Experience in working with project cycle management
·         Knowledge of Luo is an advantage
