Documentation and Information Officer Job Vacancy at CARE International in Uganda

Reporting to the Programme Quality and Learning Coordinator, the Documentation and Information Officer’s key role will be to support the impact measurement and knowledge management (M&E aspect) within the programme quality and learning component plus utilization of multimedia/ICT
Duties & Responsibilities
1)      Application of multimedia in documentation of evidence based monitoring and Evaluation results within the for the programme for scaling up high level advocacy
Managing multimedia projects, including photography, filming and producing videos, compile good practices, case studies, Most Significant Changes, success stories, human interest stories and support researches, assessments and surveys as assigned by the programme quality and learning unit
2)     Responsible for information management by maintain and update programme timelines, partner’s meetings, donor reports, visit itineraries plus developing and maintaining a resource centre for physical and electronic library relating to the programme for easy accessibility and institutional memories
3)     Responsible for designing visibility products such as interactive video clips, fliers, posters, signpost, programme brochure, quarterly/annual reports and other needed visibility products plus maintaining and updating program web link and social media accounts
4)     Support the Programme quality and learning unit in coordination periodic review meetings with partners for monitoring programme performance and impacts
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
·         A least a minimum requirement of a degree in Mass communication or Journalism, Library and information science or Information Science and Technology
·         Should have not less than 2 -5 years experience in information and records management
·         Proven experience in videographer/photography is required
Other Competencies
·         Knowledge of multi-media platform and software (adobe Photoshop, premiere pro
·         Creativity and new-media savvy
·         Knowledge of IT and data management
·         Experience in website maintenance and social networking
·         Excellent inter personal, communication, training and presentation skills with the ability to develop and maintain partnerships
·         Planning, organising, Supervision and Leadership skills
·         Team player with excellent analytical skills.
·         Proactive and reliable and cost conscious
